OSLO/STOCKHOLM/LONDON, February 2026 – Scandinavian electrolyte brand SALTE has been named Product of the Year at Sunkost, Norway's leading health retail chain, after emerging as the top-selling product in its category based on annual retail sales data.
The award was granted on annual sales figures across Sunkost's stores, making SALTE the top-performing product in its category throughout the year. The recognition reflects direct consumer demand and retail sell-through data held by Sunkost head office.
Since launching in the chain, SALTE has grown across all 130 Sunkost locations. Despite operating in a competitive electrolyte category, the brand delivered consistent sales increases, with demand recognised by store owners across Norway.
The retail recognition builds on SALTE's momentum across direct-to-consumer and B2B channels. Around 50% of total sales come from physical retail and wellness partners, while a 41% repeat purchase rate within 60 days reflects strong consumer loyalty.
SALTE's growth comes amid rising demand for functional hydration, as consumers move away from high-sugar sports drinks towards cleaner alternatives. With a 2:1 sodium-to-potassium ratio, SALTE positions itself as a premium, everyday hydration solution for both performance and wellbeing.
Following its success in Scandinavia, SALTE is expanding across the UK and wider Europe, developing new retail partnerships and strengthening its presence in premium wellness and fitness spaces.
